This is the headline weekend of Shimano TweedLove Bike Festival 2016

With no EWS visit scheduled, it looked like the UK would miss out on an international enduro race this year… So we’re very happy to announce that TweedLove will be hosting an event to fill that gap – the weekend after the EWS in Ireland. Shimano, the world’s leading bike components brand, is headline sponsor of the TweedLove International Enduro, which takes over from previous years’ EWS event.

The event village will be in central Peebles, as it was for the EWS in 2014 & 2015. Likewise we’ll also have an expo area and a field of 600 of the best UK and international riders racing on some of the Tweed Valley’s finest dirt.

  • Racing is on Saturday and Sunday – half day Saturday and full day Sunday.
  • Course practice is Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday all day, and Saturday morning.
  • Expo Saturday & Sunday

Please note format may change. Full info will be sent to all confirmed riders.

All the big teams have been approached, and top ranking EWS riders are being invited along to rip it up for the prize money – the event will be awarding the biggest-ever cash prizes for a UK enduro race. Top riders at the Shimano TweedLove International race will pick up double the amount awarded at last year’s Enduro World Series race. The fastest three male and female riders will share the cash prize fund, broken down as follows:

  Men Women
1st 1250 GBP 1250 GBP
2nd 700 GBP 700 GBP
3rd 400 GBP 400 GBP

The aim is to offer a top quality enduro race, fit for the world’s best riders – and the rest of us – on some of the best trails the UK has to offer. Shimano will be bringing professional servicing to TweedLove International and many other TweedLove events, making the whole experience even better for the riders – look out for the Shimano service cars and crew.

We hope you can make it to the Tweed Valley for what’s going to be another fantastic and friendly weekend in the UK’s best riding destination!

This enduro is one of three included in TweedLove’s new enduro series the Triple Crown – riders completing all three rounds are eligible for the Triple Crown title. Riders can choose to enter one, two, or all three of the races!
