Getting Here

The Tweed Valley is easily reached from all over the UK and only 25 miles from Edinburgh.

The main roads into the Tweed Valley are the A7 and A701 from the South, the A703 from the North and A72 from East and West.

If you’re arriving by air you will probably arrive via Newcastle, Glasgow or Edinburgh airports.

The closest train stations are Tweedbank in Galashiels or Edinburgh Waverley Station.

Share car transport whenever you can – there’s a very useful car-sharing website at www.tripshareborders.com

Event Parking – 16 – 18 September 2022

Please note, there will be no parking available at Tweed Green itself.

Car parking in Peebles – Edinburgh Road Car Park EH45 8AY and Haylodge Car Park, Neidpath Road EH45 8NN are the advised parking for event entrants.

These are a short distance from the event village. There is extensive free parking on many side streets around town, but please park responsibly and courteously. Click here for more information and here for a parking map.

Parking Information for local residents ONLY – 16-18 September

Residents of Tweed Green are the most affected, so to minimise disruption for these residents a parking permit system will be in operation – you can apply for up to two parking permits per household. Although parking will be legally prohibited on Tweed Green, Scottish Borders Council and the Police have agreed that residents with parking passes (provided on a first-come-first-served basis – you must apply in advance) can park in designated areas along Tweed Green. Please note some sections of Tweed Green will be constantly required for access and therefore excluded from the permit system. To apply for a parking pass, please email info@tweedlove.com, with your full name, address, contact phone number and vehicle details (make, model, colour and registration number).

Parking Restrictions and Road Closures information will be posted here once confirmed.

We are doing our utmost to limit any inconvenience to the public, and the Police will be putting measures in place to keep essential traffic moving and services in place. Road closures have been advertised in the local press and notices displayed in the usual way. Many thanks for your help and co-operation in making this event a success.
