Big new event for TweedLove
– New Glentress enduro to be first UK event sponsored by POC
POC King and Queen of the Hill
Sunday 27 May 2012, Glentress
Event start Peebles Hotel Hydro
Right then, it’s here at last. A brand spanking new all-mountain enduro style race for Britain’s best trail centre. So, if you fancy yourself as the official ruler of Glentress for 2012, or just like the idea of racing a unique kind of event on an awesome course, then get your self to the palace of trails and prepare for the contest…
This race is all about the big grins to be had bombing down some great singletrack and the wide-eyed fun to be had on ‘interesting’ trail sections, but while there’s a lot of fun on the way down, to be the King or Queen of these trails you’ve got to be able to do yourself a bit of justice on the way up too. An all-mountain event, using all of the mountain then.
We’re delighted to be working with POC, Swedish royalty when it comes to bike kit, to put together this race – it’s the headline gravity-enhanced event for TweedLove 2012.
More events will be announced soon

Glentress Seven
‘The best mtb endurance course I have ridden and that’s comparing it to Wiggle enduro 6, SITS, Mountain Mayhem and various others.’
TweedLove 2012 is produced in association with Alpine Bikes. Supported by EventScotland and Scottish Borders Council.
TweedLove is a festival of bike-riding, live music and good times in the cycle-friendly Tweed Valley – an area with hundreds of miles of the country’s best trails, tracks and roads. So it’s not surprising that here in the valley we have a remarkable number of resident bike fans, of both the mountain and road variety. Every year we put together a festival of bike events and invite everyone to join us for a week or so of riding bikes and good times.
