Transcend Bike Festival 2019 will be held Friday 7 June – Sunday 9 June at Nether Pirn Farm, Innerleithen, EH44 6PA.

For the 10th year of the festival we have added more events and entertainment than ever before to attract a wider audience, not just cyclists! The festival for 2019 will include enduros, bike demos, international pro riders, press, gravel events, e-bike events, a pumptrack, a kids adventure zone, a bike expo, live music and DJ’s, yoga, trail maintenance sessions, camping, talks, a Trash Free Trails clean up and food and drink.

Over the course of the weekend we expect 3,500 visitors including riders and spectators.

Parking & Road Closures

Parking for festival attendees will be available within the festival site.

We have been working with Scottish Borders Council’s Safety Advisory Group and there will be some parking restrictions in place on some streets surrounding the site during the event weekend.  There will also be a one-way system in place, at certain times, during the event weekend for safety and traffic management reasons. This will be similar to the one-way system already put in place during the school pick up and drop off times.

We will soon publicise this information and the arrangements will be shared through community councils, local media, social media channels and in particular to the residents affected as soon as the logistics are finalised with the Safety Advisory Group and SBC officials.

However please see below what is likely to be in place in terms of the one-way system;

One way systemLive Music

There will be live music across the weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the following times;

Friday | 5.00pm – 10.00pm

Saturday | 12noon – 11.00pm

Sunday | 11.30am – 2.00pm

In order to reduce noise pollution both the stage and sound system will be positioned directed away from the local housing.

Safety

The entire event has been planned and monitored through the official Safety Advisory Group and in consultation with fire, police and the Scottish ambulance service.   We will have our own first aid cover onsite for the duration of the event.
