The Event
For the 12th edition of TweedLove’s original enduro race we’re heading to the most famous enduro venue in the UK – all the race stages will be at Caberston Forest aka The Golfie.
Using some of the best trails on the hill and several stages which have appeared in EWS races, this is going to be a primo race at a fantastic venue.
So even if you’re not one of them, this is a chance to have the same kind of race experience as the pros – on the same dirt, rocks, roots and gnar.
The full course will be a proper challenge and features at least one of the toughest, best known race trails in the valley. The short course is still packed with epic riding, but a bit shorter – and a touch easier on the nerves and body!
Practice will be on Saturday and Race Day on Sunday. Detailed information is emailed to participants in advance. Click here for more info on the YT Industries TweedLove Triple Crown Round 1 and Round 3.
Full Face Helmets
This year, full face helmets will be mandatory at all three of these races, for both practice and race day (removable chin-guards allowed). Rider Safety is the number one priority and the time has come for this regulation – in line with the majority of other top level enduro races around the world.
Bikes are better, riders are faster, racing is fiercer – and our brains are just as precious as they always were.

Seeded/Unseeded
Depending on how you want to enjoy your race day, you can choose to be seeded or unseeded (not applicable to the short course – no seeding available).
All riders completing the full course (only open to 16+) can choose if they want to be seeded for each of the races or, alternatively, ride unseeded and choose a start time at event registration so they can ride with their mates all the way round the course. All seeded riders will be put in a starting order with comparable predicted pace.
No seeding is available for eMTB categories.
Seeded (Full Course) E1
If you’re fast and want a chance to podium, choose seeded.
If you opt to be seeded you will be given mandatory start times for every stage of the race. If seeded riders miss their start time they will receive a time penalty, and will be slotted in at the start marshals’ discretion.
If you’re fast, want less traffic on race stages and less queuing at stage starts choose seeded. Only seeded riders are eligible for the overall race podium positions*.
*Except 13-14 and 15-16 age categories and eMTB categories
Unseeded (Full Course) E2/E2E (electric)
Want to ride with your mates? Choose unseeded.
You’re still given stage start times and an overall course completion time. Be aware, you could be starting stages between other riders who are considerably faster or slower than you, but choosing unseeded offers less stress on the transition times. Overall, it’s a more sociable choice for many. There are no time penalties for unseeded riders missing stage start times, BUT there is an overall course completion time and penalties apply if you don’t make this.
If there’s a group of you wanting to ride together, just tell us at event registration and we’ll give you the same start times – it’s as easy as that.
We’re changing things up for 2023…
While you need to be a seeded rider in order to qualify for the overall race podiums, we also want to recognise the fastest unseeded riders, so we’ll be awarding prizes to the fastest three E2 males and E2 females U18/18+. Important note – if you enter unseeded and beat times of those seeded riders that podium, you will not podium with them or take their place in the rankings.
Short Course E3/E3Y(youth)/E3E
The short course will be at least one stage less than the full version of the course. It’s aimed at riders concerned about the fitness challenge of the entire enduro course, and for the 13-14 and 15-16 age group riders.
