Swift Trails Historical Guided Ride

A guided history ride with afternoon tea at Traquair House.

Did you know that Innerleithen was founded by a monk travelling up the Tweed in a coracle? Or that the writer James Hogg founded the St Ronans Border Games, the oldest organized sports meeting in Scotland?

Join Lucy Husband from Swift Trails on a 19km historical ride round Innerleithen and Traquair and follow a route which explores the local past from Iron Age man and marching Romans to the present.  And what better way to finish the afternoon than treating yourself to a fabulous afternoon tea at famous Traquair House.  You’ll also get a Free Findra goody bag! Once you are done you can pop into the Transcend Bike Festival village and soak up some of the festivities*

The ride is non-technical and suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness.
