Three of the best enduro races you’ll find anywhere for 2016
The Tweed Valley is the place to come for enduro racing in 2016, with TweedLove hosting three top notch events. A limited number of earlybird entries will be available for each of the three events, and there will also be a limited number of discounted entries for all three – the Triple – our own mini-series to join the choice of enduro series(es) around the UK next year. And why not!
Introducing… The Triple Crown
New for next year, we are proud to announce that we’ll be awarding prizes at the end of the season for the overall winners of the Triple mini series… we’re super excited to announce the TRIPLE CROWN as a new title up for grabs by riders competing in all three races! This special trophy will be awarded at the Scottish Open Champs in August.
Event dates and prices
We’ve done our best to keep prices down for 2016 – here’s the skinny on dates and costs. All entry costs include 20% VAT.
All events will be held in or around the Tweed Valley, Scottish Borders, Scotland.
Vallelujah : 26th and 27th March 2016
TweedLove International : 20th – 22nd May 2016
King and Queen of the Hill: The Scottish Open Champs : 20th and 21st August 2016
Riders completing all three rounds are eligible for the Triple Crown title.
Endura Whyte Vallelujah : Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 March 2016
A Tweed Valley enduro adventure. The trails used will be kept under wraps until the event, but the stages will provide an awesome day out – and something a wee bit different. Last year’s adventure turned out a bit more adventurous than originally expected in places – thanks to the weather – and provided something of an epic weekend!
You can expect a variety of hand cut and natural trails. This event is definitely a bit mellower than the Shimano TweedLove International race, but will still contain sections of technical riding which will challenge competent riders, especially taken at speed. We always aim to set courses which have a lot of flow and leave you wanting to ride it all over again. The overall ethos is to provide a fun race with adventure, challenge, good times – and safety – the key factors.
Registration and race start location will be confirmed nearer the event.
Saturday 26 March: Race registration and unmarshalled practice
Sunday 27 March: Race Registration (morning only, times TBC) and race day!
Shimano TweedLove International Enduro and Expo 2016 : Friday 20 – Sunday 22 May 2016
Event start & HQ – Peebles, Scottish Borders
The headline weekend of TweedLove 2016
With no EWS visit scheduled, it looked like the UK would miss out on an international enduro race next year… So we’re very happy to announce that TweedLove will be hosting an event to fill that gap – the weekend after the EWS in Ireland.
The event village will be in central Peebles, as it was for the EWS in 2014 & 2015. Likewise we’ll also have an expo area and a field of 600 of the best UK and international riders racing on some of the Tweed Valley’s finest dirt.
- Racing is on Sunday, with a prologue stage on Saturday.
- Course practice is Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
- Expo Saturday & Sunday
Please note format may change.
Top ranking EWS riders are being invited along to rip it up for the prize money, and the big teams have all been approached. The aim is to offer a top quality enduro race, fit for the world’s best riders – and the rest of us – on some of the best trails the UK has to offer. We hope you can make it to the Tweed Valley for what’s going to be another fantastic and friendly weekend in the UK’s best riding destination!
Whyte Endura Scottish Open Champs (King and Queen of the Hill) : Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 August 2016
Event start & HQ – Tweed Valley, Scottish Borders
This event has become a classic. The course will see the most of the massive variety of trail riding here, with the sweetest descents on the valley’s finest dirt, roots and rock.
The 2015 race was a huge success with several pro athletes mixing it up with the rest of us and battling out to become the Scottish Open Champion. The title is becoming an important one in Scotland, but the race remains the friendly and good-spirited blast it always has been. For ambitious first timers or pros – we really are all in this together.
