SEStran is proud to sponsor Tweedlove Bike Festival 2016, and in particular the Family Ride. SEStran is one of seven Regional Transport Partnerships in Scotland, covering the South East region. Its role is to develop and deliver the Regional Transport Strategy, which includes improving active travel and public transport infrastructure. Consistent with our Regional Transport Strategy, SEStran is currently progressing initiatives to improve cross-boundary cycle routes across the South East of Scotland.
“Events such as the Tweedlove Family Ride are a great way to encourage giving cycling a try, as it is an inclusive way for the whole family to enjoy cycling together. It is in line with SEStran’s vision of enhancing community life and social inclusion by making active travel accessible to all ages and abilities.” – Chairman of the partnership, Councillor Russell Imrie.
SEStran looks forward to seeing everyone out on their bikes on the 17th of May.
