Friday 9th to 11th June 2017

Start/Finish Tweed Green, EH45 8AP

The demos will run on all three days of the TweedLove on the Green expo.

This might just be the biggest thing ever to happen at TweedLove. An unbelievable collection of brands are coming to the valley, bringing many of the world’s hottest bikes for you to try on our awesome trails and roads.

Taking part in the demo costs £10 per day for registration. A dedicated MTB demo loop will take in some great trails in Glentress forest, while the road demo loop will access the quiet and scenic tarmac surrounding Peebles. Both the road and MTB demo loops will take up to an hour to complete for a rider of average fitness.

The demo sessions run from Friday through to Sunday, with some demo slots available for advance booking online, and the remainder available on the usual ‘first come-first served’ basis on the day. We know there’s going to be high demand for some bikes in particular, so we’re giving you the chance to pre-book (if you’re quick!).

Pre-booking opens online here 7pm, 14/3/17
You can pre-book online for a maximum of two demo slots per day. If there are spaces for other slots available on the day of the demo, you can sign up for them in person then (first come, first served basis).

Time slots for demos are as follows (slots available for pre-booking in blue):

Friday 9th June
11am-12:30pm
1pm-2:30pm
3pm-4:30pm

Saturday 10th June
10am-11:30am
12pm-1:30pm

4pm-5:30pm

Sunday 11th June

2pm-3:30pm

All other demo slots will be available to book in person at the event, each day of the demo weekend. For in-person demo bookings at the event, you can only book demo slots for the same day.

Riders under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a riding parent or guardian who is responsible for the child’s safety and understands the dangers of the event. No riders age 12 or younger are allowed to take part in the demo.

How to pre-book for the Mega Demo

Go to the TweedLove Mega Demo website

Select a brand / bike / size / demo slot – you will be asked to fill in your personal details. Proceed to checkout/cart. You can opt to select a second bike/demo slot at this stage if you want to (or can go back in and add it later).

You will also be sent a sign-up verification email – you must click the link in this email to verify your details. You need to do this before you can pre-book any demo slots.

Make payment (£10 per day).

You will be sent an email, which will confirm the bike/demo slot(s) you have chosen…

…Turn up at least 30 minutes prior to your pre-booked demo time on your chosen demo day(s). Bring your helmet. Bring your photographic ID (credit/debit card) and matching credit/debit card – these will be retained as a deposit by the organisers for the duration of the demo – and you’re good to go! And, if there are spaces for other slots available on the day of the demo, you can sign up for them in person then too (first come, first served basis).

There’s never been anything like this in Scotland before, with so many bling bike brands to look at and awesome bikes to ride. The TweedLove demo and expo village will also host the UK’s biggest enduro race, a roadie sportive, kids events, urban cyclocross madness and a unique bike festival with a great bar, delicious food, music and loads more.

Our ethos has always been about ‘riding bikes and good times’, but we wanted to make an already awesome weekend of biking even better. The answer came pretty easily… More bikes and the opportunity to ride them – especially the bikes that everyone’s talking about at the moment. We’re really grateful to all those cool brands who have committed to getting themselves and their bikes here to give everyone who attends TweedLove an incredible opportunity to check out their products.

There will be both road and mountain bikes, but this being the Tweed Valley, there’s a definite bias among the brands towards mountain bikes. There will also be a selection of e-bikes available to try.

We are well and truly stoked about all this. Get yourself and all your bike mates to Peebles for June 9-11. Our aim is simple: to make this the UK’s best bike weekend ever…
