A brand new event for TweedLove, and one which looks set to become massively popular. Cranked Cycle Club in Peebles have created their own fun and friendly trail race which in many ways is just like the Glentress Seven – but for younger riders. Now in its third year, it’s a pairs race which features a short 1.2km loop giving riders a taste of a XC style trail riding. For the first time it will be integrated into the TweedLove calendar, so we hope it will be even more exciting than usual. Pairs can be male, female or mixed*.
Using the skills area next to Buzzards Nest car park, the course has been designed to provide a challenging but safe experience, incorporating twisting single track, a switchback descent, a small rock garden and a sprint fire road finish. For younger or less confident riders there are easier options.
The aim is for your team to complete as many laps as it can in the time allocated – riders take alternate laps with only one team member at a time on the course.

Riders must register beforehand and registration will be open from approx. 11am on the morning of the event (time will be confirmed prior to the event).
